The newest members of the Cleveland Browns have officially received their jersey numbers.
Browns have given each of their six draft picks their first jersey numbers in the NFL. We will get our first look at the rookie during the rookie minicamp that will start on May 10.
CB Myles Harden — 26
LB Nathaniel Watson — 40
DT Mike Hall Jr. — 51
DT Jowon Briggs — 53
G Zak Zinter — 70
WR Jamari Thrash — 80
Hall was the second-round pick and is set to have the biggest role in the draft class, as that is usually the case for the earliest draft pick. He will keep his number from college and rock the No. 51.
Zinter will take No. 70 and the third-round pick is the first offensive lineman to wear that since Kevin Zeitler did in 2017. Thrash will take No. 80 from last season’s preseason phenom Austin Watkins Jr. The number is well known from Jarvis Landry’s time in Cleveland.
Matthew Adams had worn No. 40 last year and now Watson will get it with a chance to make the team as linebacker depth and special teams help.
Former second-round pick Browns cornerback Greedy Williams wore No. 26 a couple of seasons ago and that will now go to Harden, who could see time in the nickel as a rookie.
Former Browns center Nick Harris last wore No. 53 and the Browns are giving it to seventh-round rookie defensive tackle Jowon Briggs, who is trying to make the team at a deep position.
